School Community:

2019 Penny Drive activities today during LUNCH;  Orange Idol starting today through Friday during LUNCH in the quad. Join us! Don't forget your money to donate to your favorite contestant to support the Penny Drive.

SENIORS, if you believe you could qualify for the State Seal of Biliteracy or the Golden State Seal, please stop by the counseling office and pick up an application ASAP.  The deadline is approaching fast and you do not want to miss out!  
Attention Upperclassmen... Are you interested in going to Prom? Well, we are committed to helping our students attend this memorable event. Payment plans are available for your Prom ticket. If interested, please pick up a form in the Student Center room 602 or in the Main Office.

Panther Ladies … Are you looking forward to Prom, but finding $$ a problem? The dress, the shoes, the make-up … It is all so expensive! If you are a junior or senior who would like to go to Prom, but simply can’t afford all of the outside expense, we know where to find help. We are excited to announce that again this year, OHS is partnering with the Orange Blossoms of the Assistance League of Orange to offer a limited number of Dream Prom packages. The exciting event includes workshops and tips from a professional makeup artist.  Each participant will receive a dress, makeup kit, and a voucher for a new pair of shoes. If you are interested, please pick up a form in the counseling office or student center and return it before Friday, March 29, 12:30pm.  If you have any questions, please see Ms. Tran during nutrition or lunch in room 409.

The Pride Store will be open at lunch on Thursday.  Come to the back of the Cafeteria to purchase items with your PRIDE tickets.

MARCH MADNESS!!!  Do you have detention hours to clear?  Serve today at lunch to clear TWO hours of detention in room 403.  That's right--double stamp today!  Show some PRIDE panthers and clear your hours today in room 403 at lunch.   Take advantage of March Madness deals--double stamp every day!!  Questions?  Need a plan?  See Miss Visconti in room 403.

 School Wide Saturday School--This Saturday is the third School Wide Saturday School of the year.  Show up and you can clear up to TWENTY hours of detention, make up work in classes, get tutoring, or complete your APEX class.  Panthers take advantage of this great opportunity to make up work and set yourself up for success for the end of the third quarter.  Saturday School is from 8:00-12:00; we will meet in the cafeteria.  Show some PRIDE panthers and clear your hours, truancies and get projects finished before the end of the quarter.

Students please make sure that you obtain a FREE OHS parking permit from room 101 to park in the student lot.  You are in danger of being towed if you park without a pass.  Please bring your license and registration.

College and Career:

SCHOLARSHIPS! – if you plan on applying for scholarships to pay for college, stop by the College and Career Center. Some of our scholarships are specifically for local students and deadlines are quickly approaching.


Blood Drive! The blood drive will be this Thursday at the DOME. Donate to save those in need of your help. We will have sign-ups in Quad all week until Thursday. Sign up if you plan on donating.

Actors and Actresses, auditions for the Spring Show are today in front of room 107. Join the cast of “How To Succeed High School Without Really Trying”, “Appropriate Audience Behavior”, and Red Carnations”. These comedies will be student directed by friends and peers! Come audition and get the drama on!

¡Atención Panteras! There will be a Sociedad Honoraria Hispánica (SHH) meeting on Monday in room T-7. Please stop by and don't forget to work on serving your community service hours.
