School Community                                                                                                              

Mark your calendars Panther families! Open House is next Wednesday, January 22, 2025.  Our feeder schools will kick off the event with performances beginning at 5:00 pm followed by classroom visits.  We will have a petting zoo and BNC Tacos and Kona Ice will be here as well. We look forward to seeing everyone on campus!

Monday, January 20th there is NO SCHOOL in observance of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day. 

Friday January 24th is a Modified Day Schedule.

Panthers in need of an emergency bus pass, go to the Front office.  Do not wait until after school! Get your pass during Break or Lunch.

 

College and Career

Seniors, mark your calendar for Saturday, February 1st! Santiago Canyon College is hosting a Cash 4 College Workshop, Free Financial Aid Application Support! You don't want to miss this! It will held in the Orange High School Library from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. Please visit your Senior Google Classroom for details and to register!

Attention students, UCI EAOP is offering a chance to look inside the classrooms and spaces within 3 of the 15 schools at UCI, including School of Law, School of Social Ecology and School of Social Sciences. You will have the opportunity to participate in interactive activities and learn about the different majors offered within each of the featured schools on Saturday, February 1st.  Lunch and Transportation will be provided.  See your General Google Classroom for more details and restrictions or visit the College and Career Center, room 601.

Seniors, Santiago Canyon College will be in the Cafeteria, tomorrow Wed. Jan. 15^th during your Econ./Gov. classes to help you create your FSA ID, needed to apply for Financial Aid. Make sure you know your Social Security Number that day.

Attention College Bound Sophomores and Juniors, The National Association for College Admissions Counselors In-Person College Fair is back!! The Fair will be on Wednesday, February 5^th in Ontario. In the past, informative workshop topics such as Selecting the Right College Fit, Financial Aid, College Bound Athlete Guidance, Dual Enrollment, Career Options after High School and the College Application Process were provided. Please visit your Sophomore and Junior Google Classroom or the College and Career Center for details.

Students in need of a work permit visit the College and Career Center, room 601 or you can visit the OHS website.                    

Seniors

Grad Night tickets and Prom tickets are now on sale in room 602 or in the Attendance office.  Grad Night tickets are limited. Don't wait!

Athletics
Are you interested in playing baseball this spring season? OHS Baseball is hosting tryouts for anyone interested in playing baseball for the 2025 season this Friday, January 17th after school. Please report to the JV Baseball field after 6th period for the open try out. Be sure to bring your baseball gear!
